I have supervised over 20 graduate and undergraduate capstone projects, business plans, and independent research papers — several of which have been accepted at national conferences or won competitions. My door is genuinely open. If you have a research idea, a career question, or just want to talk about motivation science, come find me.

Six Things I Tell Every Student

01

Curiosity over grades

The students who grow the most are not always those with the highest GPA — they are the ones who ask "why" and "what if" in every class.

02

Connect theory to your life

Every concept we study — motivation, leadership, CSR — shows up in your daily interactions. Practice spotting it in real time.

03

Write to think clearly

The discipline of writing forces you to clarify your reasoning. Keep a reflection journal. Your ideas will sharpen quickly.

04

Office hours are underused

Come with a question, a paper draft, or just curiosity. The conversation you have there often matters more than the lecture.

05

Collaboration is a skill

Group work is frustrating by design. Learning to navigate different working styles is one of the most transferable skills you will develop.

06

Research is for everyone

You do not need a PhD to engage with research. Reading one empirical paper a month will change how you see the world of work.
